All about us

Houston brothers & Williamson was established in November 1900 by David Williamson along with Archie, Samuel and James Houston.

In 1928, after the departure of Samuel and James Houston the company name was changed to Houston and Williamson. Davey Williamson joined the firm in 1923 and was joined by his son Archie in 1947. Together they grew the Funeral Directors to be one of the most successful in Northern Ireland.

Sadly, Davey passed away in 1999, and his son Archie 10 years later in 2009.

“Our team are actively involved in community events such as supporting nursing homes, schools, churches, and charities for local families.”

Early 2013 brought about a new chapter in the Houston and Williamson era with substantial renovation on the existing premises to provide families with modern day facilities.

“To this day, we are one of Northern Ireland’s longest serving Funeral Directors and we remain dedicated to serving families in their time of need for many years to come.”
